About Opera Tampa

For more than 25 years, Opera Tampa has served as the resident opera company of the Straz Center providing breathtaking productions and exemplary educational outreach opportunities to the Tampa Bay area.

Opera Tampa’s elaborate, full-scale productions feature world-class conductors, vocalists and award-winning designers who collaborate to produce and present the highest caliber of grand opera, complete with all the spectacle and grandeur that makes opera "the queen of the performing arts."

Student Invited Dress Rehearsals

Students and educators are invited to attend Opera Tampa’s dress rehearsals FREE of charge during the opera season. To further enhance the opera experience, study guides are available for each opera and educators are encouraged to attend the Discover Opera events to help facilitate a quality experience for every student. Pre-registration for the rehearsals are required and all student groups must be chaperoned by an adult.
