Financial Aid Application

The Straz Center believes that its high-quality, unique arts education experiences offered at the Patel Conservatory should be available to everyone. That’s why we offer a Scholarship Program to students and families whose ability to attend our classes might otherwise be limited.

Scholarships are awarded by the Scholarship Committee and typically cover a percentage of tuition.

Please review current Patel Conservatory Scholarship Terms and Conditions carefully before submitting your application.

The Patel Conservatory at the Straz Center does not discriminate against applicants on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, age, sexual orientation, political beliefs, national origin or disability.

Scholarships are funded through charitable gifts. Please contact our Development Office for more information at 813.222.1036 or belong@strazcenter.org

Scholarship Terms and Conditions

POLICIES

Scholarships are for the session and class(es) requested only and are not guaranteed to be renewed or extended to all classes or programs.

Scholarships and discounts may not be combined to lower tuition.

Scholarship percentages are based on the full tuition price advertised in the Conservatory brochure for the current session.

Scholarships are generally not awarded for private lessons, Suzuki, On-Camera Acting, adult classes, fall/spring theater productions, registration fees or recital fees.

In the event that there are not sufficient funds to accommodate all qualifying need scholarship applicants, first priority will be given to current/returning students in order of the date the application was submitted. Second priority will be given to students who submit their application by the application priority deadline for that session.

Scholarship recipients are given approximately two weeks from the award date to register with their scholarship (specific deadline will be provided in the award letter). After the deadline, priority will be given to any qualifying applicants on the waitlist and the original awardees may be placed on a waitlist.

The Straz Center and Patel Conservatory do not discriminate against applicants on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, age, sexual orientation, political beliefs, national origin or disability.

  • Participate in all requested Conservatory performances (outreaches, public events, showcases, and Conservatory productions)
