Music Auditions

Fall Music Auditions:

SAT • AUG 12 • 1:00-4:00PM
TUE • AUG 15 • 4:00-7:00PM
SAT • AUG 19 • 1:00-4:00PM

Opera auditions are on AUG 15 only.
Jazz auditions are on AUG 19 only.

Advanced Chamber Strings, Intermezzo Strings, Overture Strings, Trumpet Ensemble and Repertory Orchestra

• Two scales that are representative of your current playing level

• Solo of your choice, and please bring sheet music

• Students may be asked to sight-read

Opera Workshop, Women’s Ensemble, Men’s Ensemble, Chorale, Bella Voce and Barbershop Quartet

• 32-bars of a folk song, art song, or musical theater song, and please bring sheet music (an accompanist will be provided)

• Students may be asked to sight-read

Jazz Combo and Jazz Improvisation

• Two scales that are representative of your current playing level (preferably one of the scales should be a blues or Dominant/Mixolydian scale)

• Solo of your choice, and please bring sheet music

• Students may be asked to sight-read or improvise
