Frequently Asked Questions

• How many people do I need to make a group?

  Usually 10-15 people, but some shows have different requirements. We’re always available by email if you’re wondering about your group size and want to double check if you have enough people.

• Do we have to buy all tickets for the same location in the theater?

  You may be surprised to know that you don’t. We understand that you may have members of your group who are more comfortable in different sections of the theater, so we want to make sure everyone in your group gets the seat they want even if they are not in the same row—or even the same tier. We do, however, require that your group attend the same performance at the same time.

• What if the members of my group want to pay for tickets separately online or at the Ticket Sales Office?

  This is a great question. Because of the many groups we serve, we coordinate with only one group leader for payments to make sure we can deliver the most streamlined customer service possible. We are happy to work with group leaders to take the single final payment for your group, but we ask that your members not buy individual tickets online or at the Ticket Sales Office or their tickets won’t be processed as part of the group (and subsequently not eligible for a group discount). 

• What are my payment options?

  We’re happy to accommodate typical forms of payment including major credit cards and checks. All you need to do is give us a call, and we can take your credit card over the phone. Please note that we do have to clear checks prior to the performance, so it is important that we receive any checks at least six weeks before your selected performance.

• What if I need to add tickets to my order?

  No problem! You may add to your order until the last business day before the show, depending on ticket availability. Although we can’t guarantee there will be seats available with or near your group, or in the same price level, or at the same price, we will do our best to accommodate you.

• What if I need to cancel my order?

  Group tickets cannot be returned or exchanged after the final payment is received and deposits are non-refundable/non-transferrable. As such, we cannot emphasize enough that you double-, triple- and quadruple confirm your group’s commitment to the show time before you make your deposit. A canceled order means either a lost deposit or a loss of the money your group paid for the tickets, and we can’t stress enough how much we never, ever want to see this happen to any of our groups!

• How and when will I receive my tickets?

  We’ll mail your tickets no later than 10 days before your show date. If you happen to add tickets to your order, no worries—we’ll automatically place them at Will Call for you to pick up. Just remember we need your full payment before we can process any of the tickets, but we’ll make sure you have the tickets and feel confident before your performance.

• Is The Straz accessible?

  Absolutely. We have a commitment to accessibility, and can accommodate guests with limited mobility, hearing or visual impairments, including those who require wheelchair assistance. Give us a call or drop us an email prior to your show to let us know how we can make sure we meet any accessibility needs.
