Security Screening
Weapons of any kind, including firearms, pocket/utility knives or cutting instruments are strictly prohibited.
To ensure the highest level of safety and security for visitors to the Straz Center, all visitors may be subject to a courteous screening and bag inspection by the Straz Center Security Services Team prior to entering the venue.
Visitors who refuse to allow the screening and/or bag inspection may be denied entry. By visiting the Straz Center, all visitors consent to such inspections and waive any and all related claims against the Straz Center.
Alcohol, weapons, or any items that the Security Services Team deems dangerous or inappropriate, may be confiscated and/or presented to law enforcement.
No prohibited items will be accepted at the door for safekeeping.
Exceptions can be made for visitors with special needs.

Bag Policy
To expedite the security screening process, we strongly encourage guests to come bag-free and utilize our express security line. Bags will be visually observed by security operators when approaching the venue. Bags exceeding the size limit may need to be returned to the guests’ vehicle.
Anyone who is unwilling to comply with these procedures will be denied entry without refund.
• Bags cannot exceed 12” x 6” x 12.”
• An exception can be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection.
• An exception for students and parents can be made for special shows and events such
as dance recitals.
• An exception can be made for diaper bags for caretakers who may be attending a
toddler-friendly show.
• An exception can be made for individuals with support bags for service animals.
• Working personnel, such as the media and others, will be subject to screening and bag
inspections.
Straz Center Security has the right to refuse entry of other bags based on this policy and overall public safety.
